A place made sacred by lives & prayers for a millennium & beyond

Berrington with Betton Strange

Berrington - All Saints

Parts of this ancient church date from the 13th century but it’s thought that there has been worship on this site since Saxon times. A church is recorded here in the Domesday Book.

Friends of Berrington Church Website has lots of information regarding All Saints - friendsofberringtonchurch.weebly.com

The Church is now closed and under the care of The Diocesan Board of Finance.

Betton Strange - St Margaret's Church

Originally Betton Strange was part of the parish of St Chad in Shrewsbury but in 1858 this church was built to serve the local community. Access to the church is on foot along a few hundred yards of woodland footpath. The church is gas lit. It is normally locked.

There are no regular services at either church.

The pastoral care of the Parishes of Berrington an and Betton Strange is important to The Wenlock Team.

For any pastoral concerns please contact one of the Ministry Team.
